Sara Cullen

Sara is an Irish writer (up Cork!) and multi agency public protection trainer and social activist living in Fife, Scotland.

Her writing reflects her belief that books have the power to change the world (Think The Diary of Anne Frank, To Kill A Mockingbird, Uncle Tom’s Cabin, Gone With The Wind…)

Sara’s debut novel Blood Red Sky (2024) reflects her commitment to amplifying the voices of care-experienced children who have encountered the justice system at a young age.

Sara was an English and Guidance Teacher for 17 years in Fife before moving into Public Protection training. Sara was inspired and deeply moved by her students’ stories of bravery, in the face of impossible systems, to live their lives as best they could.

Blood Red Sky was championed and published by Arkbound and Sara is forever grateful to everyone, especially Bridget.

A special thank you, always, to Shumela.
